Designed for outdoor infrastructure deployments, this single bay, 2-door cabinet (600W × 760D × 1200H) with integrated 200mm plinth provides a robust and flexible enclosure solution for telecommunications, energy, and utility applications. The dual-access configuration, with front and rear doors, allows efficient installation, maintenance, and cable management in field environments.
Constructed from 2.5 mm marine-grade aluminium with a UV-resistant powder-coated finish, the cabinet is engineered for long-term durability in New Zealand’s demanding conditions, including coastal exposure and high UV environments. The enclosure supports high ingress protection performance (up to IP66 depending on configuration), ensuring reliable protection against dust and water ingress.
The cabinet includes both front and rear doors, each fitted with padlockable swing handles, a 3-point locking system, and key-operated night latches, providing secure access and consistent sealing. Both doors are left-hand hinged and supported by gas struts for controlled opening up to 120 degrees, allowing safe and practical operation during servicing.
Thermal management is achieved through a combination of passive and active ventilation. The front door includes venting with a fan mounting kit located at the bottom, while the rear door features a top vent only, supporting effective airflow through the enclosure. Additional ventilation design ensures efficient heat dissipation for installed equipment.
Internally, the cabinet is fitted with 19″ mounting rails at both the front and rear, allowing flexible equipment installation. The enclosure is fully insulated to assist with thermal stability and reduce heat transfer in outdoor environments.
A cross-folded roof enhances structural strength and promotes effective water runoff, while the base includes a 200 mm aluminium plinth with removable front and rear panels for ease of installation and cable access. The cabinet also features a split aluminium gland plate (front and rear), enabling organised and efficient cable entry.
Combining durability, secure access, and flexible configuration, this cabinet is well suited for outdoor environments where reliable equipment protection, accessibility, and performance are essential.
