The Quadruple Bay 6-Door Cabinet (2692 W × 900 D × 1500 H) is a high-capacity roadside enclosure engineered for complex Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) installations. Designed in accordance with NZTA ITS-STND-CAB-202502 and ITS-SPEC-CAB-202502, this cabinet supports multi-bay equipment layouts, thermal management, and secure access for critical roadside infrastructure.
Manufactured from 2.5 mm marine-grade material, the cabinet is built to withstand harsh roadside environments. A robust cross-folded roof enhances weather protection and structural rigidity. The enclosure is finished in a high-durability Almond Ripple powder-coat, aligned with AS/NZS 2312.1:2014 for atmospheric corrosion protection. Optional finishes include Karaka Green (RAL 6015), Almond Ripple (RAL 1015), and T33 Smoke Blue (AS2700), with an NZTA-approved anti-graffiti coating available in accordance with NZTA S10.
The cabinet configuration provides six doors for efficient access and maintenance. Four front doors are fitted with naturally vented louvres at the base, supporting passive airflow, with optional fan kits available where enhanced ventilation is required. At the rear, two doors (serving Bays 1 and 2) incorporate exhaust louvres at the top, while two fixed rear panels are provided behind Bays 3 and 4. The enclosure is insulated on five sides, improving thermal stability and equipment protection.
Internally, the cabinet is equipped with eight pairs of 19″ EIA mounting rails, enabling flexible mounting of ITS, power, and communications equipment across all bays. Four removable inter-bay gland plates allow controlled cable routing between bays while maintaining environmental integrity.
Security is provided by independently lockable doors, each fitted with a three-point locking system and swing-handle padlock, ensuring controlled access and compliance with roadside security requirements.
For installation flexibility, the cabinet can be supplied mounted on an optional 100 mm aluminum plinth, suitable for concrete pads and roadside foundations.
This Quadruple Bay cabinet is designed to meet the demands of large-scale NZTA roadside ITS deployments, delivering durability, compliance, and proven performance for critical transport infrastructure.
