This double-bay, 4-door 23″ cabinet (1500W x 700D x 1432H) is engineered for compliance with NZ Transport Agency (Waka Kotahi) roadside ITS standards, including ITS-STND-CAB-202502 and ITS-SPEC-CAB-202502. Purpose-built for ITS controllers, roadside communications hardware, telemetry equipment, and transport-infrastructure systems, it offers a secure, durable, and highly serviceable multi-bay enclosure.
The cabinet construction incorporates five-side insulation to stabilise internal temperatures and protect sensitive electronics from environmental fluctuation. All doors are equipped with swing-handle padlock mechanisms paired with three-point locking, providing strong resistance to forced entry—an essential requirement for roadside and motorway ITS deployments.
The left-side bay is designed with naturally vented louvers fitted with filter foam on both the front and rear doors, enabling passive airflow while filtering dust, pollen, and airborne contaminants, supporting equipment longevity in outdoor industrial conditions.
A central bay access panel enhances serviceability and installation efficiency. It includes two removable gland plates, offering flexible cable routing options suitable for power, data, and control cabling.
The enclosure is mounted on a hot-dip galvanised (HDG) optional plinth, providing elevated support, improved drainage, and structural stability in roadside environments.
This 23″ double-bay cabinet is proven in demonstrating its compliance, durability, and suitability for New Zealand’s transport-infrastructure network.
