This double-bay, 4-door 19″ cabinet (1500W x 700D x 1432H) is engineered to comply with NZ Transport Agency (Waka Kotahi) standards, including ITS-STND-CAB-202502 and ITS-SPEC-CAB-202502. Designed for roadside ITS, communications, telemetry, and transport-infrastructure applications, it provides a secure, durable, and service-efficient enclosure suitable for complex multi-bay equipment layouts.
Constructed for long-term outdoor performance, the cabinet is insulated on five sides to stabilise internal temperatures and protect sensitive ITS and communication hardware. All doors are fitted with swing-handle lock mechanisms combined with a three-point locking system, offering strong resistance to tampering and ensuring secure access control in exposed transport corridors.
The left-side bay includes naturally vented louvers with filter foam on both the front and rear doors, allowing passive airflow while reducing dust, pollen, and particulate intrusion—essential for protecting electronics in roadside environments.
A central bay access panel provides additional serviceability and includes two removable gland plates, enabling flexible cable entry and simplified installation for power, data, and control conduits.
The cabinet is supported by a hot-dip galvanised (HDG) plinth, providing an elevated, rigid foundation that enhances site stability, drainage, and cable-routing options.
This cabinet design is field proven, with successful deployment in our NZTA motorway project, demonstrating its reliability and compliance within New Zealand’s demanding transport-infrastructure network.
