The convenience of a Laptop computer brings with it an increased risk of developing RSI. The small keyboard and need to be "hunched" over it is the cause. While this use cannot be avoided "in the field", back at base it should not be accepted.
The increased RSI risk is easily cleared by putting the Laptop on an Ultra support and using a Maltron keyboard for input. The Ultra, which folds flat, opens out to hold the body of the Laptop at around 45 degrees so that the screen is at a comfortable (strain free) viewing height. The Maltron keyboard is then placed in front. The Laptop body now acts as a document holder and the complete group makes a risk free workstation.
